One Mediator

ONE MEDIATOR

There is only one God and many mediators between man and God ,one of those being Jesus Christ 1 Timothy 2:5

That’s not what the verse really say's ,its what many wish it said. There are groups out there that basically teach this. They say you can pray to the great people of the Bible or family and friends who have died,for intersession or mediation between them and God. Here is what the verse actually say's:1 Timothy 2:5English Standard Version (ESV)

5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

Notice the Bible say's one mediator between man and God the man Jesus Christ. Anything or other book says something different, then one of the 2 are wrong .They both can't be right. Scripture is God breathed: 2 Timothy 3:16English Standard Version (ESV)16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,.Scripture was written under the influence of God. There are no other books needed (SOLA SCRIPTURA ) means Scripture only. Any writing that counters what scripture say's is not to be accepted as inspired scripture..
