Recognize
False Teachers/ Churches
A
false teacher isn’t going to tell you he’s teaching heresy. In
fact, he’ll usually look and sound so sincere and passionate that
you wouldn’t know he’s actually twisting God’s Word. The size
of the crowds around him won’t tell you much either, since many
people have been and continue to be led astray by teaching that
pleases their ears.
The
prophet Jeremiah kept telling the people of Judah over and over what
God planned for Jerusalem, urging them to turn from their wicked
ways. But the people preferred to listen to false prophets who told
them what they wanted to hear. We have to make sure we’re not doing
the same.
Christian
Fellowship, there are 7
telltale signs that
can take the wool from our eyes:
1.
Different Source
True
teachers will reach for the Bible first,
second, and always. They may use other sources of information to help
explain what Scripture reveals, but the foundation of their message
is always built upon “Thus says the Lord….” If you start
hearing more from other sources than God’s Word, you may need to
hit the door.
Sola
scriptura (Latin ablative, "by
Scripture alone") is the Christian doctrine that the Bible is
the supreme authority in all matters of doctrine and practice.
This
is something I stand on very strongly .Gods Word is all that’s
needed. It will not lead you astray ,in developing your relationship
with our heavenly Father . It will not lead you astray on how to deal
with life issues. It will convict you of your sins and it will
encourage you in your faith.
There
are books out there that some consider to be scripture they are known
as the Apocrypha books or secret writings. They are not part of the
Evangelical Christian canon of scripture for various reason. Here are
some.
1 Not
considered inspired.
2 Not
cohesive with the canon as we know it.
3 Not
quoted by Christ or the disciples.
Here
is an example of one book : The infancy book of Thomas.
III.
1 But the son of Annas the scribe was standing there with Joseph; and
he took a branch of a willow and dispersed the waters which Jesus had
gathered together. 2 And when Jesus saw what was done, he was
wroth and said unto him: O evil, ungodly, and foolish one, what
hurt did the pools and the waters do thee? behold, now also thou
shalt be withered like a tree, and shalt not bear leaves, neither
root, nor fruit. 3 And straightway that lad withered up
wholly, but Jesus departed and went unto Joseph's house. But the
parents of him that was withered took him up, bewailing his youth,
and brought him to Joseph, and accused him 'for that thou hast such a
child which doeth such deeds.'
IV.
1 After that again he went through the village, and a child ran and
dashed against his shoulder. And Jesus was provoked and said unto
him: Thou shalt not finish thy course (lit. go all thy way). And
immediately he fell down and died. But certain when they saw what
was done said: Whence was this young child born, for that every word
of his is an accomplished work? And the parents of him that was dead
came unto Joseph, and blamed him, saying: Thou that hast such a child
canst not dwell with us in the village: or do thou teach him to bless
and not to curse: for he slayeth our children.
Did
you see it Jesus as a child according to this book ,made one child
withered and killed another for bumping into him. Sounds like Jesus
was a monster according to this book. Yet this book is used to teach
on his child hood.
The
acceptable canon of scripture tells us all that is needed to know of
Jesus childhood.
Then
there a a plethora of books people have written that they say is new
revelation .yet it does not complement the Scriptures. Always be
aware if its new revelation and doesn't stand up too scripture
reproof then its false..
Other
resources are great for clearer understanding of the scripture, when
it turns away from scripture Throw it OUT.
Sola
scriptura

Ill look into a #2. Different
